On May 6, 2025, the Emergency Medical Aid Agency conducted a masterclass on “Basic Aspects of Amputated Limb Care.”
The course instructor, Natalia Ivanivna Humeniuk, shared practical advice on proper stump and prosthetic socket care following combat-related injuries.
🔹 Special attention was given to antiseptic treatment, where the expert emphasized that alcohol-based solutions should not be used due to their irritating effects.
🔹 The video features commonly used antiseptics such as chlorhexidine, povidone-iodine, decasan, hydrogen peroxide, and HEALER®.
🔹 Particular focus was placed on HEALER antiseptic solution and gel, which contain PHMB and betaine—an effective combination for cleaning, moisturizing, and protecting the stump.
HEALER is recommended by military doctors, surgeons, and healthcare professionals as a safe product for daily care that supports healing at every stage and does not cause pain or irritation.
The masterclass video provides a clear demonstration and practical recommendations. Don’t miss it!
