HEALER® wound and burn healing gel 50 ml

Wound and burn healing gel is an essential item in every first-aid kit for immediate care of skin injuries. Thanks to its active ingredient — polyhexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride (PHMB) — the gel effectively cleans wounds, eliminates bacteria, viruses, and fungi, promotes healing, and prevents infection. It forms a protective barrier and maintains an optimal moist environment for tissue regeneration.

The gel is indispensable for treating scratches, cuts, pressure ulcers, trophic ulcers, first- to third-degree burns, as well as during the postoperative period. Suitable for use both in medical institutions and at home. It is easy to apply, does not irritate the skin, and causes no pain upon application.

HEALER® provides continuous antiseptic action between dressings and reduces the risk of complications. It is a modern solution for controlling microbial load and promoting active wound healing.

Detailed information about the product

HEALER® wound and burn healing gel is a ready-to-use water-based gel designed for cleaning, moisturizing, and preventing contamination of wounds of various origins. Chronic skin wounds are often covered with scabs (necrotic tissues), which are difficult to remove and may delay wound healing. Therefore, thorough cleansing of the wound surface from necrotic tissue, fibrin, and biofilms is essential to stimulate the healing process.

Cleansing the wound eliminates the environment for bacterial growth and creates favorable conditions for accelerated healing. The use of HEALER® wound and burn healing gel ensures prolonged cleansing and disinfection of the wound surface between dressing changes. Test results confirm that HEALER® gel is an effective barrier to microbial penetration through the dressing. Dermatological testing and assessment have shown that the gel is non-irritating to the skin and well tolerated; it is painless to apply and does not inhibit granulation or epithelialization.

HEALER® wound and burn healing gel exhibits strong bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative, aerobic and anaerobic bacteria in the form of monocultures and microbial associations, including hospital strains resistant to antibiotics.

The medical product is effective against Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Streptococcus pneumoniae, etc.) and Gram-negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., etc.), as well as Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It also acts against herpes viruses, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and others. The gel has antifungal activity against ascomycetes of the genus Aspergillus, yeast and yeast-like fungi (Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, Candida krusei, etc.), and dermatophytes in the form of monocultures and microbial associations, including fungal microflora resistant to chemotherapeutic agents. It effectively prevents wound and burn infections and promotes tissue regeneration.

Scope of Application

Acute non-infected and infected wounds: post-traumatic wounds such as abrasions, lacerations, puncture wounds, stab wounds, bite wounds, crush injuries, and postoperative wounds. The gel can be effectively used for the treatment of any wound surfaces and surgical sutures. In the presence of sutures, HEALER® wound gel should only be applied after surgical intervention.

Chronic non-infected and infected wounds (including complicated, deep, and hard-to-reach wounds that are difficult to treat): trophic ulcers caused by impaired peripheral arterial and/or venous circulation, diabetic foot ulcers, and pressure ulcers (bedsores).

External skin lesions resulting from oncological diseases, as well as skin damage associated with eczema and neurodermatitis.

Thermal and chemical burns of I–II degrees.

HEALER® wound and burn healing gel is most effective when applied to wounds with delayed marginal epithelialization. It has good tissue tolerance, does not damage granulation tissue, and helps eliminate unpleasant wound odor.

Directions for Use

For optimal results, the area surrounding the wound should be thoroughly cleansed and treated with HEALER MEDICAL® antiseptic solution for wound cleansing and healing (see separate instructions for the solution) before applying HEALER® wound healing gel.

After preparation, apply HEALER® wound and burn healing gel generously over the entire surface of the wound, ensuring that all cavities and fissures are completely filled with the gel.

Before applying a dressing, gauze, compress, or other absorbent wound care materials, these may be pre-soaked with HEALER® gel if needed. The gel should remain on the wound surface until the next dressing change.

HEALER® wound and burn healing gel should not be used in combination with other antiseptic solutions, ointments, oils, enzymes, or similar products. Any such substances must be thoroughly removed from the wound surface prior to gel application. Use of the gel is recommended only after proper cleansing of the wound with HEALER MEDICAL® antiseptic solution or sterile saline, after which the product can be safely applied.

Adverse Reactions

A mild burning sensation in the wound area may occur shortly after application of HEALER® gel, which typically subsides within a few minutes. In extremely rare cases, allergic reactions such as itching (urticaria) or rash (exanthema) may occur during the use of HEALER® gel. In such instances, further use of the product should be discontinued immediately and symptomatic treatment (e.g., antihistamines) should be administered.
